Personality: Curt and aloof, Ougi's mannerisms betray the soft and collected appearance. As a sheltered girl she was never good at making nice, preferring to keep things short and sweet as it suits her. That doesn't stop from displaying her rough edges in throwing insults, though. She's the type to cut useless banter short, but still manage to sneak in a snarky remark of her own for good measure. Her prickly attitude makes it an ordeal to approach from pretty much any angle.
Under the hard shell...she's still rude as rude can be, but a little more lighthearted in her behavior to anyone she considers a friend. She takes on somewhat of a motherly nature, picking at the bad habits. You could say that's just how she cares. Otherwise she's very passive in dealing with problems. With a By The Book philosophy, she does her best to leave emotion out of the equation, lest she lose the focused state of mind she clings to.

History: Ougi is the only child of two humble dragons, relatively high in status. Their home was a stronghold within the frozen valleys of Sinnoh. The city served a gathering place for warriors as much as it did as a beacon of strength, protecting neighboring provinces. Its direct influence in the war made is well-known across the land. Those versed in the art of battle made their peace here, living and dying by the blade. Ougi loved every ounce of it, but such a life wasn't what her parents wanted for their daughter.

The small dragon was sheltered and received tutelage at a very young age. Gardening, Music, Dance, Calligraphy...many arts dealing in beauty and entertainment became routine. There were hopes that she would one day marry into luxury and comfort, away from all the fighting. Ougi never complained. In fact she gave it her all. An outgoing social life was the least of her concerns. Nobody stuck around long enough to associate with the "courtly" young lady anyways, whether they liked to or not. However, the intrepid nature of the home she lived in appealed still. Through time her parents were dismayed to discover she used what leisure she had learning the way of the sword, as well among other arts befitting a samurai.
While Ougi dared not disobey orders, her disinterest in the aim of these plans for her became certain. She was to visit neighboring towns and villages for potential suitors. Every time she would give them something to make them shy away or turn their nose completely. Her lack of charisma may have been an oversight, but it also net her a few curious acquaintances. One of which she found in a quaint little village, a journey away from home. An unlikely friendship that turned one visit into several, and then countless. Her company was one of the only she came to enjoy throughout the seasons. A certain part of her life finally felt a bit more complete, for a time.

As fate would have it, terrible news struck. Movement on the horizon tell of a large scale siege attempt headed their way. But what shook Ougi to her very core was the approach, coming from the same barren path to the small village she became so fond of. The thought of losing one of few she has ever cared deeply for drove her to great lengths. She went so far as to directly defy any attempts to keep her in the safety of the stronghold. Taking up arms, she ventured straight into the danger just as it arrived. Her foolhardy attempt in searching for a hole in enemy lines narrowly succeeded, making a break for her destination, but not unscathed. In venturing to the now desolate remains of the settlement, she left a lengthy blood trail in her wake. She could do nothing but drop to her knees and caress the head of a wounded little girl lying among the ruins, hanging on by a thread. She had no regrets in this decision. The endless snowfall made the warrior's last moment with her dearest friend a peaceful one. It was more than good enough this way.

...When Ougi opened her eyes once more, she was met with a statue. Instead of embracing death with open arms, spirits and their plight involving the war came to her instead. The conflict tearing apart the world itself never felt like her concern, yet in light of this mission, there was a faint pang of unyielding determination unexplainable to her. It was strange. Normally she would never consider, but her head was too fuzzy to make any sense of it. Their cause would be hers, for now.

English speaking skills are a bit basic, complex words/phrases are beyond her. She's fluent in Japanese along with knowing a bit of Sign Language and Korean
